A Question of Joner

Last week Osborne Clarke held its own version of the popular sporting quiz, A Question of Sport, in aid of Headway Bristol, and a great evening was had by all.

Vaughan Jones represented BRFPA, and therefore Rovers.  The other quiz members were Scott Murray (representing Bristol City), Gareth Chilcott (Bath & England Rugby), Ed Morrison (former Rugby ref) and four members of the Bristol Bears Rugby team; Joe Joyce, Charles & Siale Piutau and Mat Protheroe.

The quiz was hosted by Louise Braithwaite who acted as their very own Sue Barker.  All our guests joined in with the spirit of the quiz and there was lots of laughter and fun but also lots of competitiveness.  In fact it ended in a tie, although Joner’s team won the tie break over Scott Murray’s team – no change there then 🙂

Following the quiz a Q&A session hosted by Chris Hewitt was very informative and could have gone on long into the night.

A raffle also took place with signed shirts from the Bristol sporting teams as well as other great prizes.

The event was in aid of Headway Bristol and we are delighted to confirm that a fabulous £1,205.55 was raised.

This money will go to their support and carers service, which offers assistance to families at a time of crisis when their loved ones have suffered a traumatic brain injury.  It receives no direct funding and can only continue through fundraising.

The team at Headway Bristol were delighted with the evening – “This is absolutely fantastic news….wow! That sum is amazing and we can’t thank everyone enough for all the effort they put in to make it such a huge success”.
